This week is the collection week for Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is a project that uses simple gift-filled shoe boxes to let hurting children in 130 countries know that they are loved and not forgotten. Here and in 13 other countries, kids, adults, families, organizations, and businesses pack empty shoe boxes with simple items like toothpaste, toys,and school supplies. The filled shoe boxes are then hand delivered to children around the world. Last year OCC delivered over 8.2 million shoeboxes to children worldwide. This year OCC expects to deliver over 8.5 million shoe boxes.
Several Parker & Castle Rock Churches will be receiving gift-filled shoe boxes for needy children in 130 countries through Operation Christmas Child during National Collection Week, Nov 14-21.

Additionally this Saturday, November 12, from 8-8, Parker Chick-fil-A onCrown Crest Blvd., will be collecting gift-filled shoeboxes and $7 shipping for Operation Christmas Child.
In return for participating, Chick-fil-A will give a coupon for a FREE sandwich at another time to anyone who donates.
