Speed climbing has become an exciting event in rock climbing.
This is form of climbing is essentially a race to see who can get to the top the fastest. Our Speed Climbing Competition is exciting for participants and spectators alike. Technical climbing skills are not as important as simply getting to the top of the wall as fast as possible, so climbers must be quick and smart in planning their next moves. The more efficient you are able to climb, the quicker you will be able to score.
Speed Climbing Competition
December 10, 2011 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Parker, CO 80134
Competitors get three tries with the fastest counting toward awards.
Three levels of competition are available for novice, intermediate and open divisions.
Entry fee of $10 ($15 on the day of the competition) includes harness and shoes if needed.
Register online or at the Parker Fieldhouse before noon on the day of the competition.
Additional information on the Pinnacle Climbing wall at the Fieldhouse
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 4 to 7 p.m.
- Tuesday and Thursday: 5 to 8 p.m.
- Saturday: 9 a.m. to Noon and 5 to 8 p.m.
- Sunday: 1 to 5 p.m.

Climbers may use their own equipment, provided it is in good condition. Equipment may be rented for a supplemental fee.
