Spring brings the Front Range Lifestyle Showcase where consumers browse booths displaying all that Castle Rock has to offer in shopping, business, home, garden and play. This trade show brings thousands of people who want to be entertained and educated on the different products and services in the area. Entertainment on the main stage and informational seminars augment this well attended Showcase. Located at the Douglas County Events Center, 500 Fairgrounds in Castle Rock, this is a two-day event. New Event: Summer Music Fest: August 4th from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The following bands will be performing: The Horny Toads (Rock & Roll), Djate & the Rockers (Reggae), The Max Wagner Quartet (Jazz), and The Palmer Divide Band (Bluegrass). Between bands, Peak Rhythms will be providing an interactive drum circle.

Elephant Rock Bike Tour. Courses range from 16 to 100 miles in length with Castle Rock being the start and finish line. Once the trek is done, riders fill up on delicious food, brew and enjoy the festival activities. Every weekend in June and July, enjoy an event that will take you back in time. The annual Fourth of July Celebration is the granddaddy of them all with a large fireworks display at Butterfield Park in The Meadows at Historic Castle Rock! You can see this beautiful exhibit from almost anywhere in Castle Rock.

Every Saturday, from July to October, the Farmer's Market on Wilcox Square gets everyone's mouth watering. Area farmers truck in their crop -- the highest quality fruits and vegetables are available and the prices are low enough that you can buy by the bushel. The lazy days of August celebrate the charm of the Old-fashioned County Fair and the tradition of the Douglas County Fair Parade and BBQ. These two events have been held for over 65 years. This week showcases bronco busting rodeos, carnival rides and parades complete with cotton candy, hot-dogs and lemonade. After the downtown parade on Saturday, a scrumptious BBQ with all the fixin's is held at the Castle Rock Fire Department. To top things off, an evening concert is held at the Douglas County Events Center. Indian summer in September 9 & 10, begins with the biggest annual celebration in our historic Wilcox Square. Beginning the weekend after Labor Day, more than 20,000 people attend ArtFest. This art show is an eclectic mix of culture, art and entertainment in a casual outdoor setting. We offer a Children's Imagination Zone to ensure a family friendly outing. Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest: Saturday, October 6, 2007 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
On the first Sunday in October at historic downtown Wilcox Square is Oktoberfest a celebration of German Heritage - Castle Rock-style. Starlighting
November is another special time in Castle Rock. That's when our oldest traditional celebration, Starlighting, takes place. Kids, parents and grandparents become wide-eyed as Santa Claus lights the giant star on top of The Rock at Castle Rock. The Saturday before Thanksgiving, the whole town joins in to sing Silent Night while feeding Santa's reindeer, sipping hot chocolate and lighting holiday candles.
