Search Engine Optimization SEO

Search Engine Optimization for your Parker Website

What is SEO or Search Engine Optimization? Do I need that? Can I do it myself?

SEO is THE most important part of your online marketing strategy. If your web sight does not come up on page 1 or two Google you may as well not even have a website at all.

Your Web Chick has been doing organic Search Engine Optimization since 1998 and all of the web development projects you see in the portfolio rank on page one of Google for many search terms. You probably already know that or your wouldn’t have found this page.

What does “optimizing” my site mean?

It includes making sure you have good searchable content that includes the key words that will bring people to your site, and having the proper codes and tagging in the rest of the “hidden” parts of your web site. It’s also crucial that you follow the Google Webmaster Guidelines so you don’t get your website black listed on the net.

What’s in a META tag?

Do these really help my site be more searchable?

Yes, they absolutely do help. Different search engines rank sites differently based on many criteria, but one of the big one’s is the meta tags, and these also are exactly what people first see when you do come up on a Google search. You want to make that first, BEST impression to a prospective new client.

What’s a Head Tag?

You must use Head Tags <h1> etc. in your content if you want Google to know what your website is about. If your web designer doesnt’ know what one is then you should run far away.

What about BLOGGING?

What is a Blog? Will they help you increase your business? Are they easy?  YES, yes, yes!

A blog is an easy-to-use web site, where you can quickly post thoughts, interact with people, and drive more business and potential customers to your web site.

Simply put, a blog allows you to share your unique knowledge of your area of specialty with the general public on a regular basis without having to hire a web developer to do it for you. Once we help you to set up your blog and with a couple of hours of training, you are ready to communicate with the world about who you are, what you know, and why using your services and products is going to be good for the end user.

Search Engines Submission

Have you got a great site, but not getting any business from it? Search Engine Submission (SEO) is the most often missed part of web site setup, and one of the most important.

Google, Yahoo and Bing will find you eventually but why not give them a hand and submit yourself.

There are amazing web pages all over the net that no one but the business owner, his relatives and the designer has seen. But why can’t we find them on search engines?

Either they have no meta tags, no head tags, loads slowly, has deprecated HTML code, pages and images haven’t been optimized, the tags are incorrectly used, or the site has never been submitted to the search engines. You might also have had your website built in the past in “FRAMES” gasp…. or “Flash” double gasp so it’s pretty much impossible to optimize without thousands of dollars spent on PPC (Pay Per Click) Marketing and Advertising.
