Town Begins Master Plan Update Process
The Town of Parker is excited to begin an update of Parker’s 2025 Master Plan, the community’s guiding document. The Master Plan sets long-term goals and policies that guide the Town’s day-to-day decisions for the next 25 years. These decisions will impact Parker residents’ everyday lives, including the opportunities available to their children, places to shop and play in and near their neighborhoods, the length of their daily commutes, investments made in their properties and the overall quality of life in Parker.
“Our community has had great successes, as well as challenges in recent years. However, with the significant changes happening locally and nationally, it becomes even more important to revisit the Town’s Master Plan and respond to this change and to make sure our goals and strategies reflect our citizens’ values,” said Mayor David Casiano.
Watch for public workshops with specific meeting topics was conducted at Town Hall in September 2011. Public feedback has been gathered, the Town will prepare a Draft Master Plan from the results. A public open house to review the Draft Plan in the first quarter of 2012 will give residents a final opportunity to provide valuable feedback.
