When Walmart To Go contacted me about their new grocery delivery program I was skeptical at first.. why would anyone need that, but the more I spoke to people the more excited I was to give it a try. Now that I’ve gotten my first delivery I think I’m hooked!
How does it work? Simple!
Just click Walmart To Go here, register, chose a time for delivery and start shopping! You can choose either at 1 hour window for a $7 delivery or a 4 hour window for a $5 delivery fee. Both 80134 and 80138 are in the area so just enter your zip and you’ll know in seconds if you are one of the lucky one’s that get to check this out. The pricing may depend on your actual location so please check to see.
Click through all of the items you can have delivered there are a large variety of groceries along with household items, decor, sports, kitchen, bath, electronics, office and more.
You can choose whether or not to allow substitution on items. If you allow it and the item that is substituted costs more.. you will only be charged the lower price. If when things arrive you don’t like the looks of something or made a mistake on your order, the friendly delivery crew will give you a credit to your charge card.
I ordered several grocery items including quite a few organics which I didn’t know that Walmart carried until I checked out Walmart To Go . I opted for the $7 one hour delivery window from 9-10. Not only did my delivery arrive at 9:22 but the driver also called me when they were 2 minute away to let me know, I appreciated that extra step. All of my items were as ordered and the delivery guys were very efficient, attentive and did a fantastic job of explaining everything to me since I was a new customer.
When I posted about my first experience on Facebook here are some of the people who want to give this a try..
Busy Moms
With two small kiddos, they take up 75% of the cart – add that to my family being sick for the better part of two months, this is super helpful!”
“I totally want to try this! I loathe going to the store with my 2 year old & 6 yr old.”
“I was jealous when I saw that truck pull up in front of your house.”
The Elderly or Ill or those who don’t have access to a car.
Whoa! So Walmart delivers groceries now? This is GREAT for the shut-ins and elderly!”
“I’d really like to do this since I don’t drive anymore”
Everyone else!
” I see my laziness kicking in big time for $5.”
Me!
I can see using this service when I’m super busy, when my car is in the shop, and just anytime. My guess is I probably spend less money using a list and having the groceries delivered to me than if I wandered around the store so it’s well worth the delivery charge. I can also see using this during the holiday shopping crunch when you don’t really want to get anywhere near the store itself.
Walmart promises they are going to be offering some special programs to my readers very soon so stay tuned for those!
Check out this video below that further explains how the service works.
Then click Walmart To Go to get started.
