The historic downtown area of Parker is a step back in time to a kinder gentler world during the holiday season with scenes like this that remind you of Little House on the Prairie, Mayberry, Stars Hollow, and Walton’s Mountain. We are OK with that.

Holiday Events for friends and family in Douglas County
There are so many things to do this holiday season in the area, it’s hard to keep track. Hopefully, this list of “things to do” for this weekend will help you to create your new simpler Christmas holiday traditions. This year many residents are working to reduce the “getting” and increase the giving, not of things necessarily, but your time, attention, and care to those in your life that really matter the most. Let’s step back to smell the holly instead of rushing from store to store buying things instead of memories.

2021 Holiday Events from the Town of Parker
North Pole Pass
The Town of Parker’s unique and exclusive North Pole Pass will create a day of holiday memories for kids ages 3 to 10 on Saturday, Nov. 27 or Sunday, Nov. 28.
A pre-purchased pass will include a pony ride, a visit to a petting zoo, a chance to learn secrets of the North Pole from one of Santa’s elves while playing reindeer games, milk and cookie refreshments, and, most importantly, time with the big guy himself! Kids will not only be able to share their Christmas wish list with Santa and Mrs. Claus, but they will hear a story read by Jolly Ol’ St. Nick. Parents—there will be time for informal pictures, so make sure to bring your cameras/phones!
Passes will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Oct. 11 for $25 per child. Children under 3 are free with the purchase of an older siblings’ pass. There are height and weight restrictions for the pony rides.
