New Kilwins Parker Store Opening: December 2019
Parker, CO – Kilwins Chocolates, Fudge & Ice Cream announces the opening of a new store at 19501 East Mainstreet, in December 2019! This local Kilwins store offers a variety of products including hand-crafted Chocolates, made-in-store, hand-paddled Fudge, “The Perfect” Caramel Apples, Caramel Corn & Brittle, Chocolate-dipped treats, and Kilwins “Original Recipe” Ice Cream.
Kilwins Parker owners Michael & Susan Bertocchi are thrilled to bring a taste of Kilwins to Parker, CO. Michael has worked as a surgeon at Parker Adventist Hospital for the past 13 years, and he and his wife Susan are very active in the community. When seeking out a business venture, they were also looking for a way to continue serving and becoming more involved in the community they love, and Kilwins provided the perfect platform for them to do so.
The Bertocchis’ first experience with Kilwins was during a day trip to Boulder, CO, where they treated their children, niece and nephew to some ice cream on a rainy day. When they first stepped into Kilwins, they were immediately greeted with the aroma of freshly-made Waffle Cones and were offered a free sample of freshly-paddled Sea-Salt Caramel Fudge. In addition to Kilwins “Original Recipe” Ice Cream, they left with some of the fresh Fudge they sampled and a variety of made-in-store treats. They were so impressed with the superior customer service and the quality and taste of the products, that they knew Kilwins was exactly what Parker needed on Mainstreet.
The Bertocchis and their children are excited to introduce neighbors and friends to Kilwins and to serve the very best Confections and Ice Cream available. They invite you to visit the store in December to help them celebrate their store opening and hope that customers return throughout the year to treat family & friends to the Kilwins experience. “Our family is looking forward to bringing this fun, locally-owned small business to Parker,” said Susan Bertocchi, Owner, “We promise to serve our community with love, offering the highest quality Confections in a nostalgic and welcoming setting.”

Many residents are saddened that the newly opened vegan restaurant Gnarly Root has already closed its doors and the had declared bankruptcy.

Fast-casual restaurant franchise, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, recently began construction at 11140 S. Twenty
Mile Rd. near Target.
The restaurant is slated to open in early 2016. Menu items include lean-beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs, and shoestring fries, as well as an assortment of dessert treats prepared with freshly-churned, chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.
“We currently have locations in Aurora, Broomfield, Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Lakewood, and Littleton,” said Brian Pyle, franchise operator. “It is the support of our guests that allows us to continue our expansion throughout the Denver metro market and we look forward to joining the Parker community.”
The 3,500 square-foot building will seat 120, with additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service will be available.
“For those who are not yet familiar with our concept, Freddy’s brings to life the America of the late 1940s and early 1950s, a
post-war era of pride and values focusing on unity and quality family time,” Pyle said. “A steakburger has characteristics similar to a hamburger, but a steakburger is pressed to create deliciously crispy edges. Frozen custard is similar to ice cream, but frozen custard is denser and creamier due to a churning process that eliminates ice crystals and excess air.”
